The best potty training advice I have been given is to go all in! Don’t dip your feet in, when you are ready to start, make sure you child is prepared (have lots of convos about potty!) and then devote a whole weekend to potty training bootcamp.
My advice is that when they are ready it will go *relatively quickly.
Best advice I’ve received and can give is to be patient, they will learn on good time.
Don’t push. Encouraging is ok but pushing will cause regression and a battle over something you don’t want to battle about.
To be patient and if there are set backs don’t worry they will get it down in due time and when they are ready
Be patient and that sometimes it takes time. I have also been told it helps if you make some sort of game out of it so it is fun for them and they want to Play the game( go to the potty) on their own more often
The best advice I can give it to be patient and dont angry when they make mistakes
Our daughter is only 14 months but we have sat her on the potty regularly. I guess my advice is don’t push. She hasn’t wanted to sit on the potty the last week and I don’t want to traumatize her so we’ve backed off!
My mother in law told me to use blue food coloring and tell my girls they could make magic and change the water to green by putting their pee in the toilet.
I think this is my absolute favorite “advice” so far, Patty! Thanks for sharing
once you put on the underwear dont go back!
BE PATIENT!
Dont rush it!
Set a timer and every hour go to the bathroom with your little on…I havent tried yet but heard it works
Thank you for offering this giveaway!!
Patience and lots of it! We take Carter to the potty chair often and have him try. We got a bunch of potty books that we keep by his little potty chair and read to him only when he is at the potty chair. So, he loves to go and sit and read!
I decided to tell my boy (great nephew that spends a lot of time with me) that we have to wear big boy undies and after the first day no accidents. BUT when it comes to #2, he will not use the potty, he will go days without going if he doesn’t have a pamper on to go in. I would love to try this and maybe it will work, at a complete loss on this. thank you for the giveaway and if I don’t win will try to gather things and do one
best advice I’ve received is to not rush my LO.. when she’s ready she’ll be ready but nothing I do will make her potty train faster…
Have patience! And have a good reward ready for when they go on the potty! M&Ms worked for my older grandson!
Everything happens in its own due time. When the child is ready to potty train they will… Pushing the matter can make them pull away from trying.
is to let her wear big girl underwear until she doesn’t like the feeling of being wet.
give lots of praise and hugs and patience when potty training.
lots of praise.
no drinking after 5
My best tip is to be patient, I thought my son should be trained as per the schedule in a book and it totally backfired on me!
i was always told to follow their lead, my oldest was almost 4, my second was just a little over 2 and my youngest who is just over 2 now is starting to show signs he is ready, so this prize would be great for him!
Stay calm, the little people will get it best if you are calm with them.
Watch for signs that they’re ready and go with it. Simple, immediate rewards help.
to be patient and to be nurturing while potty training!
Take it slow
Stay consistent.Don’t go back to diapers for your convienence
