DIY Beauty Recipes Using things in your kitchen!
Yesterday I was contacted by a PR rep that I love working with. She asked me about a couple DIY Beauty Recipes and if I’d be willing to post them. Um, yeah! lol I know how much y’all love these DIY posts. I have 3 awesome sounding “recipes” and even though I haven’t tried them yet, I’m totally going to after I go buy some bananas. Yeah, bananas. These recipes use things that most people have already in their kitchen!

Breakfast Moisturizing Face Mask

What You Need:

1/2 a banana
1/4 to 1/2 cup of rolled oats
1 TB almond milk

What You Do:

I know it sounds like we’re about to make some tasty cookie, but we’re not. lol

  • Mash 1/2 banana well with a fork, combine about 1/4 – 1/2 cup rolled oats, and drizzle about 1 TB almond milk to the mixture to create a paste.
  • Apply to face using a circular motion as a scrub and then leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse and remove with a warm washcloth and follow up with the Soothing Facial Moisturizer.

Soothing Facial Moisturizer

What You Need:

3-4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
1 TB Coconut Oil

What You Do:

  • Mix together and apply to face.

Hair Growth-Stimulating Treatment

What You Need:

Green Tea Sachets
1 TB mustard powder
1 TB cayenne pepper
1-2 vitamin E capsules
1 TB jojoba oil

What You Do:

  • Brew a cup of green tea. Add everything to the cup of tea; mix well.
  • In the shower, apply mixture to the scalp and rub in gently, using the pads of your fingers for a few minutes. Allow to sit while washing your body. Rinse and follow up with natural, chemical-free shampoo and conditioner. Perform treatment weekly until you notice hair growth.
