This week’s blogger that I’m featuring for my Blogger Interview Series is Patricia from My Randomness. I am quite the fan of her for a few reasons; 1. She’s from the South – do I even need to go on?
Anyways, I haven’t known or followed Patricia for very long, we happen to have mutual blogger friends and that’s how I met her. She’s also started the blogger challenge with myself and the other 7 bloggers. It’s pretty fun so far and we’re all getting to know each other and learn a TON of new stuff! Woot! Another week, another fantastic blogger. I’m really loving these interviews. Some of these bloggers are my “friends” and I’m finding out so much about them. I’ve also been complimented on how professional my questions are *teehehe* I’m professional – like the news! Anyways, enough rambling. This week I have Becky from Week 99er. I think she was the very first blogger I ever started following. I won a small handful of giveaways from her blog before I started blogging. Small world.

How did you get started blogging? How long have you been blogging for?

I actually started blogging in May of 2011. I started to share deals,
money saving tips and ways to deal with unemployment. I had been
unemployed (traditionally that is) for over two years at that point and
I was stretching a few dollars as far as I could. I live in Detroit
where there still is a large amount of unemployment, we all need
occasional tips to save money! It has of course grown since then, since
I have learned a lot more about the blogging industry!

Remember my blogger series I told you about? Well I’m actually keeping up with it! This week we have a real life ‘Super-Mom’ (!!!) and it’s Amy from Savvy Saving Couple. There’s a little about her husband too! I love Amy for a few reasons; one is because she’s totally awesome! Another reason is because she totally told me I’m in her Top 5 favorite blogs – shut the front door! The other reason, is she’s super crafty. I get so much inspiration from her blog – and I always leave hungry…*grrr*
Anyways, enough about me:

How did you get started blogging? How long have you been blogging for?
I got started blogging in March of 2011. I was actually working as a CNA to help pay my Master’s Degree to be an officially licensed teacher. At the time I had two little ones, and no daycare. I really needed a job that I could work “off” hours at while my husband was with the kids. Needless to say the field of healthcare was not for me…I lasted 3 weeks. Blogging was something I toyed with for years, but I never officially made the jump until 2011-so glad I did!

How did you get started blogging? How long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging in April of 2011 so I’ve been at it for almost 2 years. I started following a lot of blogs just before then and thought, ‘hey, I can do that!’ So I did!

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?
I love connecting with my readers and other bloggers. It’s a great way to stay plugged into the adult world while still giving me the flexibility to make my own hours and work from home. Plus I’ve learned a ton! My job is as challenging as I want it to be. There’s always something new I can teach myself.
