PostHeaderIcon How Not To Make An Inside Out Caramel Apple

Pinterest Fail Inside Out Caramel Apples
Remember my Green Food Challenge I’m part of for the month of March? Well my last and final recipe was a dud. I was super excited to post this one because who doesn’t love caramel apples? Anyways, so I found this awesome recipe on Pinterest for Inside Out Caramel Apples. They were awesome looking. I didn’t read the directions.

So here’s what I did…

PostHeaderIcon Review & Recipe: Gorton’s Grilled Salmon – 20 At 200 Calories Or Less

Gorton's Seafood Challenge

Okay so I got an email the other day from Gorton’s on a new campaign. They have 20 products that have 200 calories or less! I have tried 3 of their 200 calories or less products so far. The first 2 were the Skillet Crisp Tilapia (Classic Seasoning and Garlic & Herb). The last product I tried was Grilled Salmon – so far my favorite! The Salmon was so flaky and moist and full of a lot of flavor. It was really easy too cook (bake and serve!) and it only has 100 calories per fillet. Totally awesome for those that are counting calories.
So to show you how easy it is to cook with Gorton’s, I made a quick meal last night and I’m going to share the recipe today!

PostHeaderIcon Review: YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE! GET THE SILLIES OUT!

Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Let The Sillies Out!
Oh man, yesterday was awesome. I just wish Landon was a little older so he could hold on to this memory forever. Yesterday, Landon, Shaun and I went to see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get The Sillies Out! So much happened yesterday, so I’m just going to start from the beginning from when we first got there.

So we arrived about 45 minutes before the show started. When we walked into the concert hall, we were greeted by tons of ticket-takers. Everyone was really nice and helpful. After we received our tickets, we were told about activities going on, on the 4th floor. So we grabbed hands and hit the elevator. There were props set up for us to take pictures in front of and even games to play. It was a little overwhelming when we first walked in, that I missed the big souvenir shop! There were tons of little tables (and employees walking around) that had blinking lights, posters and more! So we got Landon a flashing light – that he used to beat the crud out of the little boy in front of him, sorry! I also noticed tables set up, just for adults. That’s right, mommy and daddy (or grandma and grandpa) could enjoy a cold one while your kiddos are enjoying the show.
After the pre-show activities we went to find out seats. When we entered the seating area, we were greeted again by another employee. Then again, by 2 more employees, that showed us to our seat.

PostHeaderIcon Recipe: End O’The Rainbow Pancakes

End O' The Rainbow Pancakes
It’s St. Patrick’s Day and it was a very busy day for us. First I made this super festive breakfast for Landon, Shaun & I, then we went to see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Let The Sillies Out. It was fun awesome! Anyways, I found this recipe online a few days ago and decided to modify it to my liking. I’d link to the original recipe if I could find it again :-/
Just like my Luck O’The Irish Crispy Treats, it was really easy to pick the marshmallows out of the box of lucky charms. You don’t need very much for this recipe, though. I used packaged pancake mix. I know many moms, including myself, don’t always have time to make breakfast from scratch.

PostHeaderIcon Recipe: Luck O’ The Irish Crispy Treats

Luck O' The Irish Crispy Treats
I got creative again in the kitchen with Shaun. Yesterday we made Luck O’ The Irish Crispy Treats. Which are rice crispy treats for St. Patrick’s Day (It’s almost impossible to blog with a toddler on your lap, I just put ‘Valentine’s Day’ lol) Anyways, this one was exciting for me because I got really creative. Sure, you’ve seen tons of green rice crispy treats for St. Patty’s Day, but have you seen them with lucky charm marshmallows?! This might seem kinda time consuming, but honestly I was able to pick out half a cup of marshmallows in just a matter of minutes. It really wasn’t that hard at all.

PostHeaderIcon Wordless Wednesday [3/13/13]

I’m such a slacker. I haven’t done Wordless Wednesday in forever. I’m sorry y’all. Mostly I am sorry for being distracted with all these recipes and crafts I’m doing. I just haven’t been up to blogging lately. Tomorrow would be mine and Cody’s 5 year wedding anniversary, so it’s been a very emotional month for me. I’ve been dreading it…anyways, maybe tomorrow…
Today’s Wordless Wednesday is Landon going to daycare. Look at him all grown up with his Elmo backpack.

PostHeaderIcon Customize With CafePress

Cafe Press Logo
My step-dad is hella hard to shop for. Every year for his birthday – which we always forget, sorry Donnie! – and Christmas, I pace around stressed about what to get him. Well, when I received an email from the folks at CafePress, I was pretty excited to see they actually had stuff he might like! Donnie is addicted to coffee (just like me!) and always loves getting new, customized coffee mugs. They have coffee mugs for any occasion, seriously. They even have The Big Bang Theory(!!!), which is also another one of Donnie’s favorite things.
I know anyone can buy a mug from a local store or online, but the prices at CafePress are very reasonable, compared to other places. They also have sales on almost everything I’ve looked at and today only they have 25% off everything with coupon code ROSE25*
