Yesterday I was contacted by a PR rep that I love working with. She asked me about a couple DIY Beauty Recipes and if I’d be willing to post them. Um, yeah! lol I know how much y’all love these DIY posts. I have 3 awesome sounding “recipes” and even though I haven’t tried them yet, I’m totally going to after I go buy some bananas. Yeah, bananas. These recipes use things that most people have already in their kitchen!

Remember my blogger series I told you about? Well I’m actually keeping up with it! This week we have a real life ‘Super-Mom’ (!!!) and it’s Amy from Savvy Saving Couple. There’s a little about her husband too! I love Amy for a few reasons; one is because she’s totally awesome! Another reason is because she totally told me I’m in her Top 5 favorite blogs – shut the front door! The other reason, is she’s super crafty. I get so much inspiration from her blog – and I always leave hungry…*grrr*
Anyways, enough about me:

How did you get started blogging? How long have you been blogging for?
I got started blogging in March of 2011. I was actually working as a CNA to help pay my Master’s Degree to be an officially licensed teacher. At the time I had two little ones, and no daycare. I really needed a job that I could work “off” hours at while my husband was with the kids. Needless to say the field of healthcare was not for me…I lasted 3 weeks. Blogging was something I toyed with for years, but I never officially made the jump until 2011-so glad I did!

So remember the other day when I posted a recipe for my Cupcake-tinis? Well I still had a lot of batter leftover but didn’t want to waste it. So I decided to make toddler friendly St. Patrick’s Day cupcakes – let’s face it, Landon and a glass martini glass isn’t a very good combination. Anyways, so this recipe is very similar to the cupcake-tini recipe, with a few differences. So I’m just gonna start from the beginning.

Mama Mahoney Custom Medium Tote Giveaway

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never heard of Mama Mahoney until Savvy Saving Couple got to review a custom Mama Mahoney tote. I have to say, I am really impressed with the variety of designs. I want one! I like them so much that Amy, is letting me join in on her special giveaway. Right before Valentine’s Day, I heard on the radio of a tasty treat called a cupcake-tini. I had no idea what it was or how it was made, but I knew I wanted it. So, I did some Googling, and found some tasty recipe for alcoholic drinks – not what I was looking for, but definitely a bonus!
Anyways, after some more Googling I felt confident enough in my research that I could make these cupcake-tinis, without a recipe. Lucky for you, I wrote everything down as I went, so I can share it with YOU!
Now this recipe is for a St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Cupcake-tini, however, you can make it with any cake mix – chocolate would be wonderful for a date night

With Landon potty training, I’ve found myself searching, and asking for advice from other moms, on what to do to keep him interested in going…on the pot.
After a surprise potty prize box from my Mother-In-Law I decided to make a super awesome box that would make him excited every time he saw it. Something that’s so awesome, he would want to do anything possible to see what’s inside the box.
I purchased almost everything from Hobby Lobby, but you can shop from Walmart or anywhere else. I spent less than $35 total – most of you will probably have most of this stuff on hand, if you’re a crafter. You don’t have to use the colors I chose, you can pick any colors you want for your potty prize box – maybe your toddler’s favorite colors?
This project take a total of 2 days. You really want to make sure the paint is dry and you might want to use more layers than I did.

How did you get started blogging? How long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging in April of 2011 so I’ve been at it for almost 2 years. I started following a lot of blogs just before then and thought, ‘hey, I can do that!’ So I did!

What’s your favorite thing about blogging?
I love connecting with my readers and other bloggers. It’s a great way to stay plugged into the adult world while still giving me the flexibility to make my own hours and work from home. Plus I’ve learned a ton! My job is as challenging as I want it to be. There’s always something new I can teach myself.

Holy crap, did you know today is Chocolate Mint Day! I knew there was a reason I ate that mint cookies & cream ice cream this morning! I love all things chocolate mint. What do you think of when you think of chocolate mint goodies? I bet it’s ice cream, Thin Mints, maybe more ice cream…not very healthy, huh?

Pandora’s Deals recently had the chance to review Balance Bar’s Chocolate Mint Cookie Crunch Bars and she swears they are divine! She’s pretty sure they’re her favorite Balance Bar.
